Barossa House Bed & Breakfast

A charming Bed and Breakfast in the Barossa where you will find friendly, personal service, country accommodation and the convenience of modern amenities

Barossa House was built around 1926 by the Plush family for a son who was to be married. They were owners of a large stone fruit orchard, one of the many orchards in the area at this time. It was a grand house for the times and with a tennis court in the front yard, it became well known in the Barossa Valley for its very social tennis days and other occasions.

Many years later, it was sold and became one of the first Bed and Breakfasts' in the Barossa Valley. There were several changes of ownership over the 20 years it operated as a Bed and Breakfast, of varying forms.

Originally from Adelaide, we moved “up the road” to the Barossa Valley and took ownership of Barossa House in July of 2001. We have continued the tradition of the Bed and Breakfast and also the very social house that it was.

It is hard to imagine that we have now been here for over 12 years now. What an amazing journey we have had
